Beat the Heat: Day 1

Bun Curls to Beach Waves

Materials needed:
comb
bobby pins

Begin with damp hair. If your hair is too wet, your style will take a long time to dry. Part your hair where you want it to be when the look is finished. Section hair into four equal sections. Beginning as close to the scalp as you can, twist your first section. Coil the twisted hair into a mini bun and secure with a bobby pin or two. Repeat on the next three sections.
Go to sleep, clean the house, etc.

When mini buns are completely dry, take them out and separate the pieces. Run a smoothing cream through the ends and touch up any needed pieces with a curling iron. Voila!

Feel-Good Friday

Perfect Your Posture-
"We're in the business of looking willowy, right? Lean? We're aiming to look more like a long, tall drink of water. You want to give the impression that you could reach the highest leaves on the tallest tree, and this applies just as well to 5-foot-nothings as it does 6-foot somethings. The difference is all in your posture.
Good posture has all manner of beneficial effects. It means your skeleton is aligned, with your bones in the right places and not under undue stress. So hold that head up high, pull in those abs, raise the rib cage, lengthen the neck, and away you go."
