7 Must-haves for a Cozy New Year

Over time I’ve learned to appreciate a quiet New Year’s night in to decompress from all the kerfluffle of the holiday season. If you’re spending New Year’s snuggled up on the couch I’ve got seven essentials to add to your wish list that will keep you both comfy and stylist. Planning a night on the town? I’ve got you covered for that too.

1. The perfect layering necklace for t shirts and sweatshirts. I’m asking for this one for Christmas.
2. Cozy night at home = real pants optional. These leggings will last for years!
3. Planning an exciting night on the town? This sequin top will take you where you want to go, figuratively and literally. The subtle sequin can be dressed up but also paired with jeans if your New Year’s Eve party has a casual vibe.
4. Stop the phone drop with my favorite case in a minimal color palette for a fresh new year.
5. I love the hair clip trend, but since I’m not five I want to wear them in a cosmopolitan way. These bobby pins fit the bill, plus keep my bangs out of my face.
6. Keep your toes toasty in a pair of luxurious socks.
7. I love my collection of mugs that remind me of the people who gave them to me.
8 A pom pom blanket is sure to keep the chills at bay, and at this price point (plus 2-day shipping) you can get one for everyone on your shopping list in time for Christmas.

Festive Accessories for Your Everyday Pieces

I’m all about the holidays, especially Christmas! Holiday parties, work events and of course, Christmas Sunday are festive occasions to participate in and dress for. Our wardrobes are a great way to set the ambiance of a holiday but sequin dresses don’t make many appearances after the holiday season is over. Read on to learn five accessories you can add to your everyday pieces to festivize your look while also making the most of your money.

1. Start with a red pleated skirt and add a matching velvet hair bow for a Christmas outfit channeling a modern Mrs. Claus.

2. Begin with a little black dress (do you have one hanging in the back of your closet already?) and add a sparkly belt for a minimalist meets Christmas look.

3. Dress up a pair of green pumps with shoe clips for the holiday season and wear this fresh color into spring and summer too!

4. For your casual parties an eyelash sweater is sure to keep you cozy and never underestimate the power of a good red lipgloss (more wearable than matte lipstick).

5. On its own, a buffalo check shirt might not seem anything special. You’ll be tempted to reach for the Christmas reds, greens, and tartans but you’ll be able to wear a classic black and white combo long after the tinsel is in the trash. Pair with a fun emerald earring for the season and swap for a gold hoop for every day.

Each one of the everyday pieces will be a great addition to your current wardrobe. Wear them throughout the year even when the holiday season is over and for many years to come.
