Style Showcase: Sarah

Today's post is all about Sarah. I have had the pleasure of knowing Sarah for many years, and she always looks adorable! In Sarah's words: "I'm originally from the Seattle, Washington area but I have resided in Arizona for the last 10 years. I am the mother of four darling girls who keep me busy!  I also love to read a variety of genres and if time allows, you might find me at the gym." 

Her outfits-

Her personal style-

Living in Seattle, which is known for rain and overcast weather, I often wore colors that reflected the climate. When I moved to Arizona my closet consisted of lots of black, white, and charcoal gray. It's been my mission to add color and fun to my wardrobe over the last several years....and man alive, I've discovered I love shoes! I am currently in love with neutral color shoes. I'm a short girl so I can often be found wearing shoes with heels for height. I have a whirlwind of hair which gives me some height as well : )   

Her go-to outfit-

I wish I was fancier but this mom loves a good pair of jeans! Amongst all the carpooling, concerts, and other kids' events, it's realistic for me to wear a nice pair of jeans and a bright shirt. I love Hudson brand jeans which you can find at Nordstrom on sale right now! I am also loving all the colored denim and find that the GAP brand fits me best and the price is reasonable. I never leave my house without jewelry. I love bauble necklaces, hoop earrings, and of course my Michael Kors watch.

Her beauty secrets-

Number one: Eyelash extensions. I wake up and my eyes look beautiful and there is no need to mess with mascara. Number two: Crest Whitening Strips. A beautiful smile is essential to feeling self-confident.

Her favorite product- 

I don't leave the house without my MAC LUMINARY lip gloss on.  PJ's or not, my lips are shiny at all times! As soon as these teeth are brushed, on goes my lipgloss!

Her style inspiration-

I have four daughters who give me the thumbs up or thumbs down when I come out of my room in a new outfit.

Style Showcase: Meredith

Today's Style Showcase is all about Meredith! Meredith writes a fashion blog over at All Dressed Up where she shares her personal style and the occasional crafty idea or recipe. She graduated in April and is currently doing a corporate internship through Walmart in their Global Sourcing department. 

She says: "One of my favorite things to do is meet new bloggers and I love seeing so many bloggers' different styles. I love everything retail and I really want to be a buyer some day."

Her outfits- I am wearing one of my favorite girly skirts. I kind of live in skirts and dresses. I just love the way they make me feel.

Outfit 2- This little number is so comfortable. It is also what I wore to work on my birthday this  year.

Her go-to outfit- I love to wear girly dresses and knit skirts. Anything chiffon I usually love, especially if it has a peter pan collar. My husband is 6'4'' and I am 5'5''. So basically every outfit I wear I need to have nice tall shoes to go with it. I find wedges the most comfortable and I am growing my collection faster than my husband would like. I also love statement jewelery- big necklaces, watches, earrings. Yep, that just about wraps up my go-to outfit. 

Her fashion secret- The most flattering skirt length should hit two to three inches above the knee, below the knee, or in the middle of your calf. That is not saying you can't wear other lengths as well. These are just universally the lengths that look the best on all women. So basically the knees are in the red zone along with right above the ankle. I always try to keep this in mind when selecting a new skirt or dress. 


Her beauty must-have- My beauty must have has got to be my hot curler set. I love curling my hair and without the hot curlers it just wouldn't be possible to have princess ringlets whenever I wanted. While I may look like a granny when wearing the curlers, the curls make it all worth it!


Her celebrity inspiration-  Audrey Hepburn.

Style Showcase: Anna

Today's post is all about Anna. Anna writes a lifestyle blog over at annaapricot.blogspot.com. She is a busy, busy college student and just got back from a study abroad in London and is now looking for a job. She says, "I love putting together my outfit each morning, but I could probably tell you more about football than the average guy could. I love just hanging out with my friends and family. My blog is where I write about everything in my life. There is no telling what I will post on any given day. I’m just having fun trying to make the most of life!"


Her Outfits-This is the perfect example of my go-to outfit. I love wearing jeans and a button up shirt, especially my chambray one. I could wear this outfit just about anywhere and feel super comfortable.

Outfit 2- I am obsessed with these green Antropologie pants. I feel like they make this outfit so unique.

Her Personal Style- My style is about trying to look like I came right out of a J Crew catalog without paying the price. Stripes, polka dots, and bird patterns are becoming an obsession. I also have an addiction to sequins. If something has sequins on it, I buy it about 98% of the time. But don’t get me wrong, I am all about a sweatshirt and jeans too.

Her Fashion Secrets- Always wear clothes you are confident in. Even if you are wearing the cutest outfit in the world, if you don’t like it you won’t look good in it. Just wear what you love even if people don’t agree with you. You will always look your best if you are confident about your outfit. Also get a great pair of jeans. Jeans can make or break and outfit. Gap jeans have always been my favorite and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Her Celebrity Icon- Emma Stone. Her outfits are always amazing. She always looks classy but has a good amount of sass in there too.


Her Beauty Must Have- My beauty must have is eye liner. I only wear a little bit but it
makes my eyes look so much more defined. Wouldn’t leave the house without it.
