Style Showcase: Abbey

Today I am so thrilled to introduce the darling Abbey from Along Abbey Road. Abbey says, "My husband, Matt, my son, Luke, and our puppy live in Encinitas, CA where we like to pretend we are beach bums. Along Abbey Road is a place for me to share my personal style, DIY projects, and adorable, squishy-cheeked photos of the cutest baby alive (Luke). You think I'm biased? Yeah, you are probably right."

Her Outfits- My pink blazer and white pants outfit is my last go around with the white pants since it is entering the fall season. And I don't want to get on Stacy London's bad side for excessively wearing white pants after Labor Day ;)

Blazer- H&M. Tee- Old Navy. Pants- Chico's. Shoes- Flashbacks (local thrift store). Sunglasses- Free People.

Outfit 2- My yellow striped and mint pants outfit is what I like to call a good transition outfit from summer to fall. Since I live in Southern California, it's sunny here and not very practical loading on the layers when it is still 80 degrees in the autumn season. The colors are great for fall, but it still adds some summer fun with the hat and bright lips.

Shirt- Loft. Pants- Loft. Hat- Target. Platforms- JellyPop Shoes.

Her Personal Style- Free. I would describe my style as free. I don't really like being pigeon-holed into one style aesthetic. It really depends on my mood that day, week, or even month. Sometimes I like wearing ruffles, lace, and flowers. Together. Other days I am all about leather, studs, and black. Sometimes I go minimal and wear simple jewelry. Other days my accessories envy those of Man Repeller (which is HEAVY on the jewelry). I wear what I like and I am always looking for a way to reinvent my style.

Her Go-to Outfit- Since I am a mama, my go to outfit is a printed tee of some sort, colored denim, and flats. Cute, moveable, and spit-up friendly.

Her Favorite Product- I would die without MAC Opulash mascara. It creates beautiful, long lashes that could almost pass for lash extensions. Also, it doesn't flake, which is a big pet peeve. It is a little pricey, but I am telling you it is amazing!

Her Style Inspiration- I Everywhere! Blogs, magazines, people I see on the street, and Sienna Miller. I idolize that woman. Her style is the bomb (I can't believe I just said the bomb, but I am not taking it back). Also, I like to look for style inspiration in the unexpected things, such as a piece of art or grandmas! Call me crazy, but grannies know how to dress and accessorize!

Style Showcase: Mindy

I'm so excited to introduce Mindy today! She blogs over at Nautical Stripes. She is a graduate student married to a naval officer and currently resides in Charleston, SC for the time being. Mindy says, "I love vintage shopping, cooking, traveling, running, music, reading, and politics (although I don't share those publicly very often). My style blog is only a small part of me, but it definitely reflects my personality and I enjoy sharing that with everyone!"

Her outfits- I'm not going to lie, I kind of think this shirt looks like a picnic table cloth and I LOVE it because of that. Even better is that I bought this Ann Taylor button up at Goodwill for a few dollars. I couldn't help but rejoice. This is just another example of why I love thrifting!

Outfit 2- Well, I suppose it isn't a surprise that I'm sporting nautical stripes, but I can't help but pair J.crew's bateau top with their bright red Minnie pants (the spandex content makes them ridiculously comfy). The outfit is comfortable, yet put-together enough to run errands or grab lunch with friends.

Her Personal Style- If you were to make a word cloud about my style, it would most likely say: classic, nautical-inspired, vintage, Parisian-wannabe, preppy, colorful, feminine, sometimes tomboyish, and texture-obsessed.  I am pretty open to different looks and am willing to experiment with about anything.

Her Go-to Outfit- Striped bateau top, dark skinny jeans or cropped pants, boat shoes or ballet flats, and a large leather bag. Comfortable, yet put-together and classy.

Her Shopping Secret- I rarely pay full price on anything I buy. I always make sure to use my 15% student discount at J.crew too! Never forget to ask. I also sign up for Kate Spade's email list and Gilt.com and have been able to buy designer bags and clothing for 70% off.

Her Favorite Product- My latest obsession has been BB cream: Tinted moisturizer, wrinkle-cream, and skin brightening cream all in one! When I'm in a rush, I just use that, a little powdered bronzer on my cheeks and I feel good to go.

Her Style Inspiration- I get a lot of my vintage-look inspiration from old Hollywood movies. Living a year and a half in France also has inspired my style. I love the effortless and chic look so many Parisian women have. Lastly, I derive inspiration from my favorite stores and their stylings: J.crew, Madewell, Anthropologie, Modcloth, and Kate Spade.

Style Showcase: Brandilyn

Today I'm so thrilled to have the darling Brandilyn of Cats and Cardigans! Brandilyn is  a brand-new momma to son David Jr. and a boutique owner in a small town in Idaho. She says, "My husband and I fill our days exploring beautiful Idaho and cracking goofy jokes."

Her outfits-  My first outfit is just from a day of errands!

Cords- Target. belt- American Eagle.  Tee- Walmart

Outfit 2- My second outfit was worn for a day of shopping.

Sandals & Tee- Target. Maxi skirt- Forever 21.  Belt- Panache.

Her Personal Style- My style is 100% casual. I love to mix in the occasional bohemian or equestrian elements, but for the most part, I try to make my outfits practical for my life and true to my style and who I am.

Her Go-to Outfit- Dark skinnies, knee-high leather boots, a comfortable button-up, a bright cardigan, and a couple bracelets.

Her Fashion Mantra- Anything worn with confidence looks good. Have fun, and wear things that YOU feel pretty in!

Her Favorite Products- I love - LOVE - Bare Minerals Fairly Light foundation with SPF15. It's a powder, so it never looks cakey, and it matches my skin tone perfectly.

Her Fashion Inspiration- My fashion inspiration comes mostly from other blogs. my friends, and cute girls I see coming through my little boutique!
